Sydney is preparing to host the TCS Sydney Marathon, on Saturday 30 August and Sunday 31 August 2025, now expanded into a two-day festival featuring three signature events: the 5km Mini Marathon on Saturday, followed by the 10km and 42km Marathon on Sunday. With over 50,000 runners expected, the city will be transformed into a celebration of endurance and community.
The marathon route spans key areas including North Sydney, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, The Rocks, Darlinghurst, and Centennial Park.
To facilitate the event safely, extensive road closures and special event clearways will be in place across the city. We encourage all drivers to review official road closure maps here and plan ahead.
Due to the road closures and event footprint across the CBD and North Sydney, some DIVVY Parking car parks will be temporarily closed on Saturday 29 and Sunday, 31 August:
These closures are essential to support safe access for emergency and event operations.
For those attending or navigating the city, nearby DIVVY car parks remain operational, including:
We recommend pre-booking early and using our All Day Weekend rates for convenience in Sydney CBD and North Sydney. For real-time updates, follow official marathon and city transport channels.
