While Sydney is known as the Harbour City, and famous for its iconic landmarks and water activities, it also hosts a wide variety of events that both water lovers and landlubbers enjoy. If you’re in Sydney in November, take a look at some of these exciting events that are set to take place.
Bondi Beach to Tamarama Coast Walk Sculpture by the Sea
Summer is coming and now’s the time to really start enjoying Sydney’s beautiful climate. Why not start with the beach. Running until 8th November 2015, it’s not too late to catch the world’s largest free-to-the-public outdoor sculpture exhibition. With more than 100 sculptures, it surely is a sight to see.
Sail Tall Ship James Craig
Another experience now that the warmer months are here is the James Craig. A restored Tall Ship that hails back to the 1870s, boarding the James Craig is a unique experience due to the fact that it is the only restored Tall Ship in the world from its time period. The public are able to board the James Craig on the 1st of November, 21st of November, 5th of December and 20th of December. Those on board will get to sail around the Sydney Harbour and Sydney Heads.
The AUS-X OPEN
Getting away from the water theme somewhat is the AUS-X Open – a supercross racing event. Being held at the Sydney Olympic Park from the 28th November to the 29th November, audiences will be introduced to Freestyle Motorcross (FMX) riders, pyrotechnics and prizes.
Waterford Crystal Polo
Cucumber sandwiches? Being held at Sydney’s Centennial Park on the 14th November, the Waterford Crystal Polo day is for those looking for something a little quieter than the AUS-X OPEN. The Waterford Crystal Polo in the City event is a polo series that takes place in Sydney and other Australian capital cities each year.
In keeping with the glam of the polo is Sydney’s ARIA Week. From 20th November to the 27th November, Sydney hosts a range of events and gigs to celebrate Australian music in all its finery. This exciting week then culminates in the Annual ARIA Awards.
So, it looks like Sydney might be the place to be in November 2015. Something on offer for everyone. Just remember, organise your car parking before the event with Divvy. And, as always, have fun!
